Why is Agriculture Technology important?
Agriculture technology is important because it increases higher crop productivity. It also decreases the use of water, pesticides, and fertilizers to help keep a safe environment. The technology helps reduce the impact on natural ecosystems. In addition, there is more safety for a worker. Lastly, there are safer growing conditions with technology.
What is the nature of Agriculture Technology?
There are many types of agriculture technology. A couple of them would be soil and water sensors, weather trackers, and satellite imaging. But, with great computers there are disadvantages. One disadvantage is some farmers do not know how to properly handle the machines. They have a lack of knowledge and cannot use them because they do not know-how.
Who is involved with the issue of Agriculture Technology?
There are many people involved but the main people involved are farmers. Farmers play a huge role in Agriculture technology because they use it in everyday life. They use technology to help them farm because it helps speed up processes. Lastly, other large agriculture companies that sell some type of technology with their products are involved. They play a role in involvement because they are selling the products and showing how the types of technology can help speed up processes as well.
How can Agriculture Technology be defined?
Agriculture technology can be defined into two different arguments. Whether it is a useful and safer tool, or if it is not as safe and useful as everyone thinks. The different techniques of technology are the harvesting of animal and vegetable products and the controlled growth of the products.
What is the historical background of Agriculture Technology?
In 1830, the first agricultural technology products that came out (were improved to be better) were the plow and a mechanical combine harvester. Around the 1900s, a technology product came out called the horse-drawn plow.
What caused the issue?
The issue came to a start when many people realized that they were not able to get everything out of the ground. It also caused the issue because many people were starting to get lazier. With technology, we are able to blink an eye and a tractor would be able to get most of the crops out of the field or plant them.
What are the risks of Agriculture Technology?
There are many different risks that are involved throughout technology. One of the many risks is the technology does not work like a human brain. If a tractor were to be able to self-drive itself there could be many different problems involved with it. One of the main problems is tractors do not know what is in front of them because they do not have eyes. If there is a large hole in front of a tractor, and there is no one paying attention, the tractor could fall into the hole and either get stuck, or worse flip the tractor over if it was deep enough. Another risk is there may not be a total understanding of an animals thoughts and behaviors are if there is an automation product brought in. If there isn’t the right understanding there could unintended consequences.
What are the benefits of Agriculture Technology?
The benefits of having technology that is involved with agriculture are being able to have less harmful air pollutants in the air. Another benefit of having technology that is involved with agriculture is the fewer uses of water and fertilizers. With the fewer uses of fertilizer, the prices of food can go down.
